Do You Need a Degree to Become a Web Developer?
I've been a web developer for almost 10 years and there is one question I get a lot from aspiring web developers: "Do you need a degree to become a web developer?"
Instead of the short and sweet, to the point answer usually give, I decided to elaborate a little more in this video. Not only do I answer the question "do you need a degree to become a web developer?", but I actually tell you what else you might need instead.
It's a valid questions, isn't it, though? I mean, why waste thousands of dollars investing in an education if you don't need it?
It's funny, but in this video, I share what my degree is in.
You'll laugh when you hear it.
I don't regret it, though. Not one bit.
So back to the question: "Do you need a degree to become a web developer?"
There's more to life than education, though. Sometimes the best education you can get comes from another source besides schooling.
In this video, I explain a little bit about my story and what I did to become a web developer. Was it my degree that made me successful or was it something else? Watch the video to find out. ;)
All in all, it all comes down to your passion. If you're passionate about something enough, you'll find a way to do it. You'll find a way to get educated whether it's with a degree or not.
So, what do you think?
